1X Technologies develops humanoid robots and the AI software that controls them. Its flagship product, NEO, is designed for households, with functions such as fetching objects, tidying rooms and helping with laundry. Owners can manage chores through voice commands and a mobile app, while scheduled remote assistance helps with unfamiliar tasks. Its earlier EVE platform is a wheeled humanoid deployed in industrial facilities. The company develops robot hardware, tendon-driven actuation and AI models, including Redwood, to support movement and manipulation.
CEO Bernt Børnich outlined a target to manufacture and ship 50,000 NEO robots in 2027. He described planned annual capacity of 10,000 units in Hayward and 100,000 in San Carlos, with expansion dependent on production quality and reliability.
