How they use Tavily
OloLand used Tavily web search in its evaluations of the Vals AI Finance Agent benchmark. Its baseline used the unmodified finance-agent harness. The augmented stage retained the same harness, model and prompt scaffold, adding nine deterministic OloLand tools and a prompt instruction for quantitative claims.
Both stages ran on the 50-question public split with three independent seeds. Each seed made independent retrieval calls to Tavily and sec-api.io. The methodology lists Tavily’s free tier for both stages. This documents benchmark research use.
