How they use Nebius AI Cloud
Milestone Systems is a Robotics & vision company developing intelligent video management software. It is building Project Hafnia, a platform for training video AI with traceable, regulation-ready footage. In June 2025, it named Nebius as the European GPU provider for planned vision-language-model training, including transport video from Genoa. CEO Thomas Jensen described Nebius as “our European cloud provider”. NVIDIA's June announcement described Hafnia using Cosmos and NeMo Curator across NVIDIA DGX Cloud and Nebius for training and fine-tuning video-centric models. In October 2025, Milestone reported completed US-model training on Nebius, with US data stored on AWS. EU data storage and model training take place on Nebius in the EU. Hafnia used approximately 150,000 hours of US and European video for supervised fine-tuning of Cosmos Reason into two region-specific smart-city models. Its two-pass fine-tuning combined visual/domain post-training with output-format adaptation. Milestone reports stable learning, consistent formatting and improved flow reasoning.
By March 2026, Milestone said it was launching Hafnia's synthetic-video pipeline on Nebius. It uses NVIDIA Cosmos Transfer and Cosmos Evaluator powered by Cosmos Reason to add unusual weather, traffic and other hard-to-capture scenes to training data. Hafnia also offers video models and plans a training service for developers. Milestone uses several clouds across the wider platform. Its releases identify Nebius for synthetic data and GPU support.
Nebius reported in March 2026 that Milestone uses weeks of sustained infrastructure access, data pipelines and workflow orchestrators to cost-effectively transform video data into trained models. A March announcement details fine-tuning NVIDIA Cosmos Reason with compliant, annotated real-world footage using Nebius GPU clusters, high-throughput pipelines and managed orchestration. Hafnia director Edward Mauser cited GPU availability, price-performance, engineering support and European data sovereignty as reasons for choosing Nebius. NVIDIA also named Milestone as an early user of its Physical AI Data Factory Blueprint on Nebius. In April, Nebius named Milestone as running on its infrastructure within the NVIDIA Physical AI ecosystem.
