How they use Tavily
Signal lists Tavily among its public web data, search and extraction tools. Its Data Processing Addendum says these tools may receive public web research instructions, public URLs, public search terms and public web results.
The tools are excluded from Signal’s subprocessor schedule because they are not intended to receive Customer Personal Data. This disclosure appears in both the July 2026 initial DPA and the August 2026 version.
