How they use Tavily
OneAdvanced uses Tavily for Search the Web in Intelligent Chat, an optional OneAdvanced AI add-on. It is off by default and requires purchase and activation. Organisation administrators enable web search and choose its default setting. Once enabled, users can switch it on or off in the chat interface. Disabling web search at organisation level forces the chat toggle off and makes it read-only.
User text or files supply search terms or themes. Intelligent Chat retrieves relevant results, scans pages for information that answers the question and summarises the findings in a natural-language response. OneAdvanced’s subprocessor list names Tavily as its customer-enabled AI agent’s web access API. It says Tavily grounds generative AI features with current public information and does not process clinical, patient or other special-category personal data.
The privacy notice says web-search inputs are transferred to the United States and used only to deliver the response. OneAdvanced says it completed a Transfer Risk Assessment and has appropriate transfer mechanisms in place in accordance with UK GDPR. The notice describes retention for the customer contract’s duration and deletion afterwards. A zero-retention option is available for inputs, and usage data is retained only in anonymised form.
