How they use Nebius AI Cloud
NormaCore uses Nebius storage and GPU compute to connect robot data collection with model training and updated policy deployment. Station captures demonstrations and telemetry into NormFS, which compresses and encrypts data locally before synchronizing it to Nebius Object Storage through an S3-compatible API. NormaCore then runs training on serverless GPU instances and returns the resulting policy to the robot fleet. Nebius also describes serverless GPU compute for inference. Nebius reports that NormaCore moved from initial evaluation to full production in under three hours. The disclosed setup includes European data residency. The customer story also reports further investigation into distributed learning with EGGROLL.
NormaCore announced its integration with Nebius Serverless AI as one of its compute backbones for on-demand GPU jobs, including fine-tuning vision-language-action models for robotic arms. A related post describes a SmolVLA fine-tuning demo for the SO-101 arm. Nebius’s customer story reports that three developers completed a hackathon project in approximately 24 hours using NormaCore’s systems on Nebius. The project included recording, storing and filtering a dataset, fine-tuning SmolVLA, and setting up robot hardware. The team worked without prior API knowledge or manual infrastructure setup. Participant Ozkan Ceylan reports collecting approximately 60 demonstrations and training remotely on Nebius GPUs through NormaCore’s tooling. His team achieved autonomous pick-and-place with Claude AI as an orchestration and verification layer.
The customer story describes plans for experimental deployments in agriculture, logistics and retail over the following 6–12 months. NormaCore is recruiting commercial hardware partners to expand from the open-source community to production fleet deployments. The standardized Station–NormFS–Nebius stack can follow partners from prototype to production fleets without a rebuild. Mikhail Rozhkov also announced a planned joint Nebius–NormaCore demonstration for October 13 in Amsterdam using SO-101 and ElRobot arms. The demo was to show a policy fine-tuned and served through Nebius Serverless AI running live on a NormaCore arm.
