How they use Tavily
Elastic's InfoSec Product Security Team built an agent in Elastic Agent Builder to draft CVE security advisories from vulnerability reports. Its dependency-vulnerability workflow uses Tavily search to retrieve upstream advisory context. Tavily extraction provides fallback access to canonical MITRE pages when indexed catalogue lookups return no result.
The agent primarily retrieves CWE and CAPEC records indexed in Elasticsearch. It produces a draft advisory and separate reasoning for human review. Elastic reports that ESA-2026-01 passed through this pipeline and was published. Analysts currently invoke the agent manually. Automatic invocation through Elastic Workflows is a planned next step.
