How they use Tavily
Contri uses Tavily for web research in its AI business chat and planning features. Its privacy policy describes automatic web searches when users ask complex questions. The AI extracts general search terms from those questions and sends them to Tavily.
Contri says journal-entry data and personal information are excluded from these searches. Before transmission, it removes email addresses, phone numbers, long number sequences, API keys and the company name registered in settings if they appear in search terms. Selected public-page URLs are sent separately to Jina AI for page retrieval.
