Apify

Web scraping and browser automation

How they use Tavily

Apify used Tavily Search in a single September 2026 benchmark against its RAG Web Browser. It ran four queries about consumer computer price increases and memory shortages, requesting ten results per query with default settings. Each provider’s results were merged into a research pack and supplied to a fresh LLM chat for a sourced answer. Apify removed run IDs, API settings and other identifying metadata so the packs were structurally identical and distinguishable only by their content.

Apify reported that Tavily returned 40 records with no empty content results. Tavily’s research pack was about 8.4 times smaller than Apify’s and supported a solid answer, while finding less manufacturer-specific evidence. The benchmark covered one topic, one LLM and one test run.
